Fairfield exhibition now closed
17 January 2015
Sadly all good things must come to an end, and that is now true of my exhibition at the Fairfield Halls, Croydon. Originally booked for a week from 14 - 21 December, it was first extended to 9 January at the suggestion of the Fairfield management, and then again to 16 January.
My grateful thanks to the Fairfield Halls for making it possible for so many people to see my work. I have had lots of positive feedback, so my thanks to all those people who took the time to comment.
If you wanted to see it but were unable to get there, you can view an album of the exhibition online here.
In addition, a reasonable proportion of the displayed images are available to view in the galleries, accessed through the menus above.
Farifield Exhibition extended for another week
8 January 2015
I am delighted to say that my exhibition at the Fairfield Halls has been extended for another week, at the request of the venue management. I've had tremendous feedback from the public and apparently a number of visitors have expressed the desire to come back with friends. It will now close (definitely!) on Friday 16th January.
The exhibition consists of sixty images, and covers topics as diverse as 'behind the scenes in Fairfield Halls', the floods in Kenley and Purley in spring 2014, the poppies at the Tower art work and a selection of images of Croydon.
Again my grateful thanks to the Fairfield Halls for making it possible for so many people to see my work.
Fairfield exhibition goes live

Photo exhibition ‘A day in the life of Fairfield Halls’ and ‘Kenley: after the Flood’ opens at Fairfield Halls
Local photographer Tim Pollard is delighted to launch his new exhibition in the Sun Lounge at Fairfield Halls this week.
He explains “Last December I did a project with the help of the Fairfield Halls where I took ‘behind the scenes’ shots of the pantomime production and other activities going on at the venue. To thank the Fairfield Halls for their help in this project I have been allowing them to use the shots in their publicity material, and I was really delighted when they then suggested we should exhibit them during this panto season as ‘A day in the life of Fairfield Halls’.
“The Sun lounge is a big space, so to fill it I have added a second series of pictures, showing how the emergency services responded to the Kenley floods in February, plus a selection of some other favourite images I have taken of Croydon and further afield.
“It is a real honour to be offered the opportunity to display my work in such a prestigious venue and I am very grateful to the management of the Fairfield Halls for extending me this opportunity.”
The exhibition runs from today until the 10th of January and is free to enter. For parents looking to fill the time before panto, there is a children’s photo quiz available to keep the kids amused.
